What You Should Know before You Apply for Social Security Disability Benefits
The Social Security Administration answers frequently asked questions about Social Security Disability benefits.

   

ODAR Locations

An Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (ODAR) is where hearings are held before an Administrative Law Judge.

In Michigan, if your initial SSD and/or SSI application is denied, you can file an appeal called a Request for Hearing at an ODAR office. Each ODAR office handles appeals from local Social Security Field Offices located in various cities.
